2024 Roundup

2024 was the year of new works.

PrOFESSIONALLY:

  • Dove headfirst into workshops and staged readings at the New York Theater Workshop, The Kennedy Center, and TheaterLab.
  • Produced a short film with playwright/director Matt Minnicino (currently in post-production).
  • Shot Bee F^#%!ng Nice Productions‘ short film, LOTTIE, directed by Ally Musmeci (currently in post-production).
  • Originated roles in two world premiere plays:
    • Without God As My Lover by Megan Medley (Taproot Creatives)
    • The Figs by Doug Robinson (American Stage)
  • Enjoyed milestone auditions and callbacks.
  • Began shooting a third short film TBA.

PERSONALLY:

  • Rediscovered a love of producing and writing.
  • Moved to a new neighborhood and threw myself into home improvement projects.
  • Witnessed incredible art, the favorites being:
    • THEATER:
      • you don’t have to do anything by Ryan Drake at HERE Arts
      • Hadestown (Broadway)
      • Water for Elephants (Broadway)
      • hand foot hand by L M Feldman at Playwrights Realm
      • Three Sisters by Matt Minnicino at Brooklyn College
      • Poor Judge at Pig Iron, Philadelphia Fringe
    • FILM/TV:
      • The Substance
      • Conclave
      • Death Becomes Her
      • Nobody Wants This
      • The Seagull (dir. Jamie Lloyd on National Theatre at Home [this is cheating but I loved it])
  • Ate deliciously, loved big, snuggled Vision and laughed/cried a bunch.

Grateful for a humbling, heartbreaking, heavenly year of the highest highs and lowest lows. Looking forward to being present, fearless, and focused in 2025.
